"SURVIVE" TRAILER
Synopsis
"SURVIVE" is a Thriller/Drama student film that explores the events of a school shooting that occurs at Daniel's school, which forces him to navigate through his options for survival.
Production Notes:
When we began this project, we both committed to making the film as real as we possibly could. We wanted the viewer to be the victim, to feel real anxiety, fear, and survival instincts. In addition, we didn't want to hold back nor water-down the possibilities within these types of events.
Preproduction started off the best it possibly could. The script was done within the week, along with a storyboard and shot sheet. We had even agreed with a local, growing rapper to create a theme song for us. We were ready to start filming.
We then crashed against a wall, with a number of obstacles slowing our production process.
Once production began rolling again, it required long hours and great commitment from everyone in order to accomplish what we believe to be an honest take on one of the greatest issues that has repeatedly occurred in recent times.

Sypnosis
"Rubber Duck Murders" is a thriller/drama student film that follows the fictional case of the same name. Detective Flores (new case lead) interviews retired detective, Richard Strong (former case lead), in an attempt to fill in the gaps of the bizarre mystery.
Production Notes:
The production of "Rubber Duck Murders" was the hardest I had encountered in terms of development at that point in time. This was the first time Bulmaro (Director) and I would tackle such a daring project. We felt the two keys elements that would determine our success would be writing and editing.
Post-production was difficult because of timing. A majority of the time was spent in preproduction, fleshing out the script, plot points, dialogue, overall story, and in making sure it was believable to be a real murder mystery. Time quickly became our enemy when we turned to the post-production faze, though gratefully didn't greatly affect our film.
We were able to cast one of the professors from our department, which we felt significantly increased the production value.

Synopsis
"THE NIGHTMARE" is a thriller/drama/horror student short film that follows Stacey, attempting to find love, which turns into a dangerous situation when an obsessive former interest insists on hanging on.
Production Notes:
Fresh off working on "RUBBER DUCK MURDERS" with Bulmaro, "THE NIGHTMARE" was the next project I would be apart of, which was also my first directing experience.
Although I am content with the final product, I believe inexperience was evident.
Everything started with no one wanting to direct, which then lead to the role landing to me. Though I lacked the experience, I was determined to deliver the best product we possibly could.
The concept began with Daniela, the writer, proposing a "YOU" type of film, with an obsessive person putting his love interest in danger despite his love for her.
We then decided to tweak things, with the film being seen through the victim's eyes, and everything starting through a Tinder encounter.
This was my first full hands on experience. Along with Daniela, we both wrote the script, I casted, scheduled shooting days, and during post, edited the film along side Rodrigo.
The downside of this project was our inexperience which led to problems. We decided to film twice, once for a rough cut, and the other for the final version.
During the rough cut filming, our mics were not working, and as a result, we had no sound. To add more to the trouble, we did not get all the shots we wanted, with some being cut too early or others not looking right. We were lucky to have planned to film a second time for the final version.
The second session of filming never happened. Due to overload of projects, homework and a full schedule from the cast and screw, we were not able to fix the problems of the rough cut footage.
In order to fix this, we had to dub absolutely everything. All dialogue was a voice over, and every sound was added in post-production. The sound design was essential particularly to this film.

Synopsis
"HOPE" is a two-part drama student film that tells the story of Esperanza, as she finds out her father has been deported, and her response to the tragic news.
Production Notes:
"HOPE" was my very first experience in any video production. I was attached to write the script and was excited to be working on the film idea I had proposed to our group.
The purpose of "Hope" was to tell a story, highlighting the difficulties a family and an individual may go through when one of them faces immigration issues.
It was important to us to show the sudden shock it may have, the process in which one goes through when they receive the news, and how they decided to go about their lives despite the news.
It is not the best film out there but we believe the message we were trying to tell is powerful enough for our film to have an impact.
Despite horrible, life changing events, such as your dad being deported, and being left alone as a result to that; you must keep working, keep living, and keep moving forward.
Like other projects I have been apart of, we were the least experienced of all the groups, which led to issues that resulted in the film being not as good as the potential it had.
